Our infamous Undies (undergraduate researchers) shined at the recent Biology Department Undergraduate Research Symposium. We had three presentations including a talk by Spencer Hyde on his work on fatty acid sensitive potassium channels, and posters by Heather Curtis (on the obesity-prone and -resistant rats) and Stephanie Croasdell (salt taste in a diabetic mouse model). All did great jobs and made the lab look better than we probably are...
Stephanie won an award for the Best Poster presentation shedding more limelight onto the lab. Rumor has it Arian is angling to get a part of the award for all his help with her poster.
